Meet Our Team

I welcome you to come experience Tanzania with Mariga Adventures.

I am William Polikarp Tesha, the managing director of this company. I wanted to start Mariga Adventures after years of experience guiding with well respected trekking and safari services. It has always been my dream to have my own guiding company that can offer a genuine Tanzanian experience. Allowing clients to experience the wonders of Kilimanjaro, Serengeti, Tarangire, Ngorongoro, and eventually other East African nations. I have always believed that to maximize your experience visiting these places, you must find the opportunity to connect with Tanzania’s indigenous people (The Masai, Sukuma and Nyakyusa tribes) and to share whatever adventure you might choose with our porters and guides. Mariga Adventures is designed with the mission of facilitating meaningful relationships between our clients and Tanzania. This requires a relationship with our land, our people, and our culture. Mariga strives to provide the opportunity for all three.

How we give back:

A portion of Mariga Adventures profits will be invested in sustainable Agricultural development. This will create more job opportunities and help to nourish the countless food insecure members of our communities. Additionaly, the profits from Mariga will be allocated towards an orphanage for children living on the streets of Moshi. Once I have raised enough capital, my plan is to buy a parcel of land in Moshi and construct the "Mariga Center for Street Children and Orphans". This Center will provide access to basic needs and an education. In Tanzania both are unfortunately, a privilege, not a right.
